Pepe Bratanov, known by his artistic moniker Peppy Colours, is a Toronto-based visual artist whose practice explores play, nostalgia and childhood memory through painting, sculpture and mixed media.
Pepe transforms familiar everyday materials and objects into playful contemporary works that invite curiosity, recognition and emotional connection. Best known for his Sprinkles: A Sweet Body of Work series, he uses unconventional materials and vibrant visual language to explore joy, memory and the value of play.
His newest body of work trades sprinkles for markers, while continuing to explore many of the same ideas. Real acrylic markers extend from painted surfaces, blurring the line between painting and sculpture and capturing a paused moment of creativity, as if someone simply stopped drawing and walked away.
Internationally exhibited, Peppy Colours has collaborated with brands and cultural institutions including NBA2K, MLSE, the Toronto Raptors, Scotiabank Arena, SLAM Magazine, Round21, UGG and Lil Wayne.
