Sprinkles: A Sweet Body of Work transforms a familiar symbol of celebration into an unexpected artistic material. Using clay sprinkles across paintings, objects and sculpture, the series explores nostalgia, childhood memory and the simple joy of play.

 

Sprinkles are instantly familiar. They remind us of birthdays, ice cream, childhood and celebration. Here, they're taken out of that familiar context and used to transform everyday objects and imagery into something new, blurring the line between painting, sculpture and object.

 

Colourful, tactile and a little ridiculous, the work is a reminder that art doesn’t have to be serious to be meaningful.
